I started professionally matchmaking in 2016 and have since successfully matched over 9,000 people on dates all over Ireland. I had experienced the frustration of online dating, trying to meet people out on a Saturday night all while trying to juggle a demanding professional career in financial services and managing a successful company with almost 50 staff over two continents. I was only too familiar of the feeling on a Friday evening, when you wanted to celebrate your wins from a busy week with someone special but instead, I was often going home to a house on my own and wondering, what was I working for?

I had matched friends, colleagues, people I met travelling for years, some of which were getting married and having babies and so I set about studying and reading everything I could about dating, psychology, body language, human behaviour, etiquette, the art of great conversation, flirting techniques, masculine and feminine energy and also a lot of my own personal life experience.

The response to our private 1 to 1 matchmaking quickly became very popular and soon I realised why most of my clients were single, they were simply not meeting enough new people. Within six months of becoming a professional matchmaker, I launched Ireland's most popular dating events, A Table for Six. The media coverage was instant and the whirlwind of TV appearances, radio and newspaper interviews reflected the popularity of A Table for Six with single people of all ages all over Ireland. A fun night out for three single ladies and three single men per table on dinner dates in restaurants all over Ireland almost every Saturday nights. Four months after launching A Table for Six, we had almost 8,000 people on our waiting list. (A Table for Six is currently suspended due to Covid- 19).

As much as we love running events, my real passion and main priority will always be matchmaking. I am proud to say that many of my clients and many of the couples I have matched, I would now count as true friends. Being such a big part of someone's love story is very special and i ma honoured to share the memories with these couples.

Often with new couples, also comes new babies. Regardless of how many babies are born to these couples, the feeling when I receive the text announcing a little ones birth and a picture of their little faces, always brings a tear of joy to my eye.
