Consultations are available in Dublin, Galway, Cork, Kilkenny, Naas, Mullingar and online.

Mairéad warmly welcomes people of all ages, backgrounds, sexualities, ethnicities and dating experience. Every consultation is completely confidential.

Whether you're hoping to meet a life partner, want honest dating advice or would simply like an expert opinion on your dating journey, every consultation is tailored specifically to you.

Please note consultations in Dublin, Galway, Cork, Mullingar, Kilkenny and Naas often book out weeks in advance. All available options are currently available to book on the website and no additional slots will be added before Christmas 2026. 2027 consultation slots will be available from 1st December 2026.

There are three types of consultations available. Book any appointment to meet Mairéad in person or online.

1. Matchmaking Consultation (Most Popular)

During your consultation, Mairéad will take the time to get to know you, your personality, relationship history, values and the type of person you hope to meet. She'll also answer any questions you have about the matchmaking process and assess whether Love HQ currently has suitable matches for you.

Please note: You are booking a consultation only.

Your consultation is a standalone professional service. 

If, following your consultation, Mairéad believes there are suitable matches available, you may be invited to join Love HQ's matchmaking service at an additional cost.  

If we do not currently have suitable matches, your consultation has still been fully provided. Attendance at a consultation does not guarantee that you will be invited to join matchmaking, nor does it guarantee that suitable matches currently exist.

2. Date Assessment & Coaching

Book an in-depth dating assessment to identify what's helping or holding back your dating life.

Together we'll explore previous relationships, dating patterns, confidence, communication and practical strategies to help you date more successfully.

3. Ask Mairéad

Need advice about a particular dating or relationship situation?

Whether you're single, dating or in a relationship, this consultation is designed to give you honest, practical advice on whatever you're facing.

Weekday consultations before 5pm – €150

Weekday consultations after 5pm – €200

Sunday consultations – €250

Belfast consultations - £150

Cancellation Policy

Consultation fees are non-refundable and non-transferable unless your appointment is cancelled or rescheduled before 1pm, 48 hours (2 working days) prior to your consultation.

Preparing for Your Consultation

• Dress as you would for a first date.

• Please arrive on time. Consultations are appointment only and we want to be fair to every client.

• Relax. There is absolutely no need to be nervous. Your consultation is simply a friendly, confidential conversation.

 

What Happens After My Consultation?

Every client journey is different.

Following your consultation, Mairéad carefully reviews your profile against Love HQ's extensive client base.

If she believes there are suitable matches available, you'll be invited to join the matchmaking service at an additional cost.

If there isn't someone she genuinely believes is right for you at that time, she'll be honest about that too.

Some clients are introduced very quickly, while others wait longer. Matchmaking involves introducing two real people whose personalities, preferences, availability and circumstances all need to align at the same time.

Love HQ's philosophy has always been quality over quantity. We will never arrange introductions simply to meet a timeline.

Our mission is simple, to help as many people as possible find long term, real love.

While we have successfully introduced thousands of people over the years, no reputable matchmaker can guarantee that a suitable match currently exists for every client at every point in time.
